Nova Icaria beach

The coastline of Barcelona stretches for five kilometers, so you can choose a new beach every day.

Nova Icaria beach is located between the cheerful Barceloneta and the calm Bogatell. Only a stone pier separates this beach from Bogatell. Therefore, if you don’t like one beach, you can always move to another. On the other side of the beach, there is also a pier that separates the beach from the port. Two breakwaters create the effect of a quiet bay, so there won't be big waves on the coast.

The beach has everything you need for a comfortable stay: rental of sun loungers and umbrellas (5-6 euros apiece), showers and toilets, cafes and snack bars, kiosks selling beach products, and entertainment for adults and children.

Nova Icaria beach will appeal to families with small children, because, as we have already said, the waves here are small, strong winds do not blow, and the descent into the water is very gentle.

There are plenty of playgrounds and attractions for children along the beach, so you won't be bored. Adults will also find something to do: there is exercise equipment, sports grounds, rental equipment for active sports - surfing, kayaking, diving, and several cafes where you may enjoy a refreshing cocktail or delicate fish ceviche.
