De la Mar Bella Beach

Barcelona has over five kilometers of beaches. All of them are sandy, clean, with excellent infrastructure, and separated from each other by stone piers. So if you do not like one beach, you can easily go to another.

De la Mar Bella beach is located between Bogatell and Llevant beaches.

Each beach in Barcelona has its own specifics. For example, Barceloneta is a place of fun and parties, Nova Ikaria is popular with families with children, and people go to Bogatell searching for relaxation and tranquility. De la Mar Bella Beach is a place of freedom with no restrictions. It is conditionally divided into several sections. There is a nudist part and a gay part with gay bars. Access to the beach is open to anyone, but if you want fewer naked people and same-sex love in your life, bypass this place.

Except nudists and gays, Mar Bella is also very popular with surfers, because there are quite strong winds here, which means good waves. Surfers also choose the neighboring beach, Llevant, so there is always a choice where to go.

We should warn that the beaches of Barcelona are full of women sunbathing topless and it is absolutely ok. Even on the decent Bogatell beach you can meet a man without swimming trunks. Do not rush to call for help, this is Barcelona, you are free to be free.

Mar Bella beach facilities

The length of Mar Bella is about 500 meters, the width is about 50. This place is more than enough for everyone who wants to lay in the sun close to the water.

It offers rental of sun loungers and umbrellas (about 6 euros apiece), cafes and bars, toilets, showers and changing cabins, as well as sports grounds: they play beach volleyball, football, there are basketball grounds, horizontal bars and exercise equipment.
