The Picasso Museum was created in 1960. It is based on the collection of Jaime Sabartes, Picasso’s close friend. The original collection consisted of 574 works. In 1968 Jaime died and Picasso donated another 900 of his works to the museum.
Now there are 3,500 artworks in the museum's collection so walking through the exhibition, you can easily follow the changes in the master's creative ideas. It is a perfect place to immerse in the artist’s work, see how his style has been changing, and learn more about his biography.
