Boqueria Market

The market appeared here in the 13th century. People came to sell and buy fresh food.

This particular market called Boqueria or San Josep was opened in 1840. 

It is designed in French style with Catalan features. The architect used an exquisite arcade, wrought iron elements, beautiful stained glass windows, and a very original signboard font.
