The ancient cemetery of the Phoenicians has been on this site since the 7th century BC.
The Phoenicians "discovered" this island in the 7th century BC, built a port, and realized that this place is very comfortable for living. The Phoenicians had a very good taste so they chose a very picturesque spot even for their cemetery. It is arranged on a mountain slope near the sea. Later, the Carthaginians and Romans buried people here.
You will see burial caves, stone coffins, skeletons, jewelry, sculptures and ritual items, tombstones, including those carved into the rock, and a lot of other artifacts.
The entrance costs about 3 euros.
