Los Cristianos
Sunny Los Cristianos is located 80 km from the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
This is one of the most popular resorts in the island. Los Cristianos is quite a large city, and there is always something to do here. A couple of kilometers from the city there is another famous resort, Las Americas, which flows into another resort, Costa Adeje. Best beaches in Los Cristianos
The city has two large beaches: Playa de los Cristianos and Playa de las Vistas.
The length of Playa de los Cristianos beach is approximately 900 meters. The beach has all necessary facilities, it means you can rent a sunbed and an umbrella (4 euros per day apiece), or settle on your own towel, visit beach cafes and bars on the beach, try delicious sangria and savory paella. The descent into the water is gentle, so families with children will be comfortable here. Near the beach there is a diving school and a sailing school, if you wish, you can hire an instructor and get to know the coast better. There is access directly to the promenade from the beach, and if you go along the promenade, you will find yourself in the neighboring city soon.
Another interesting activity in Los Cristianos is whale and dolphin watching. There is a pier near the beach, from where tourist boats depart every day, taking tourists to the place where whales and black dolphins often swim.
Playa de las Vistas is the best in the city and one of the best on the island. Its length is more than 400 meters, and it means you can easily find a place near the water. The beach is well equipped, so you can rent a comfortable sunbed and a large umbrella per 4 euros per day apiece. A cocktail will be brought to you from the nearest bar, and at lunch you can have a bite on the terrace of one of the pleasant beach cafes. Spreading palm trees grow along the beach and create a natural shade. Another bonus of this beach is that the sand here is not black, as on most Tenerife beaches, but light.

In addition to traditional relaxation on the beach and long walks along the promenade, there is also a lot of entertainment. In the evenings, nightclubs, restaurants and bars open, so nightlife lovers will not be bored.
If you want a real exotic, go to the Montaña de Guas volcano which is situated 4 km from the city. You can buy a tour to climb the volcano, or organize everything by yourself. From the top you will admire a wonderful panoramic view of the city and its surroundings, the beaches and the port.
Another big volcano, Teide, is located 45 km from the city. This is a whole national park where you can see unusual volcanic landscapes, moon-like craters, and rare plants that could survive in such an unusual place. The height of the volcano is 3718 meters, which makes it the highest point in Tenerife. In order to climb the volcano, you need to walk some part of the way, and then take the cable car, which will take you to the very top. Along the way, you will see how climatic zones and landscapes change, see nature becoming more and more severe, and the views getting cosmic.
