Des Caragol Beach and Far del Cap Lighthouse

This beach is located 8 km from the town of Colonia de Sant Jordi and a couple of km from the famous Far del Cap Salines lighthouse.

Tourists come here to enjoy an atmosphere of tranquility, sandy beaches, clean sea and cheap services. There are several beaches around the city - Platja des Dolc, Platja es Dofi and Platja des Carbo. The most remote beach is the deserted sandy beach Des Caragol, but it is really worth coming here at least for one day.

You can book a room in a hotel or a guest house in Colonia de Sant Jordi and visit all of the beaches. They are all sandy, very clean, quite uncrowded and impressive with the beauty of the scenery.

The most popular hotels in the town are the four-star Universal Hotel Marques, as well as the comfortable Hotel Honukai, located near the beach.

This is not the most popular beach for travelers, but you should go there if you are nearby. The beach stretches for a little less than a kilometer, and usually there is not more than 10 visitors here. It is very quiet here, the descent into the water is very gentle, and the water is of a bright turquoise color.

If you are staying in the city of Colonia de Sant Jordi, you can take a taxi for a couple of euros and come here. You can walk along the beaches or take a car. In the latter case, visit the Far del Cap Salines lighthouse, which is located 18 km from the beach. People usually go to the lighthouse to enjoy the views and spend the sunset. And do not forget to take a picnic basket with snacks and drinks with you.
